HERO provided flexible resources with the aim of  introducing new and traditional audiences to new ways of engaging with the historic environment within an educational context.

For children and young people

Have you visited one of the HERO sites with school or with your family? What did you think? What did you like most?

What did you like least?

  • Write a letter telling to te site you visited
  • Draw or paint a picture of the site you visited showing what you did and learnt there
  • Write a story or a poem about the site you visited
  •  Make a map of the site you visited and include a key letting    HERO know what you loved, liked a lot, a bit, didn't like or absolutely hated
  • Become an intrepid reporter and interview your classmates to find out what they thought of their visit.
