Award Winners

Holders of The Sandford Award for Heritage Education.

The full list of properties is available at the bottom of this page and shows when they received Sandford Awards (the years in brackets after their names). The award is granted in recognition of the excellence of their educational services and facilities and their outstanding contribution to Heritage Education. Two or more dates indicate that the property has been reviewed and received further recognition under the system of Quinquennial review introduced by the Heritage Education Trust in 1986. Any property which wishes to retain its listing must apply for review of its educational services and facilities five years after the date of its last award.

This current year's winners were honoured at the Presentation of the 2008 Sandford Awards being hosted by The Historic Royal Palaces at one of the year's winning sites, Hampton Court Palace
